We recently launched Fireside Chats – live conversations where Stability Leaders share mental health insights based on their lived experiences with mental health conditions. In this first Fireside Chat, Jason Grant shares on the value of peer support within early intervention services for psychosis.

Jason hails from West Sussex in the United Kingdom, where he currently works as a researcher and peer support worker with the National Health Service (NHS). Jason was first introduced to the NHS’s early intervention services for psychosis when he had his own first psychotic episode about five years ago. He shares how his experience in early intervention services was pivotal for him in gaining a sense of his own experience and getting the help and support he needed to move forward. He now uses his experience to help others, working as a peer within the system.

In this session, Jason shares about his own experience with psychosis, what he has seen through his work as a peer support worker, how Covid-19 has changed early intervention services and more.
